RAY RAY

Ray Ray is a rising comic who enjoys the art of making people laugh.  There is only one word to describe this crazy guy from Mobile, Alabama, "Versatile."  The type of audiences that he performs for is irrelevant: he is ready, willing and able to give them 100 percent pure comedy.  One of the influences in his life as a child was the late great Redd Foxx.  He use to sit in front of the television watching Sanford and Son saying to himself, I want to make people laugh just like he does!"  Little did he know that later in his life he would get the chance.

While attending Alabama State University in 1989, Ray Ray took the stage at a Greek Talent Show on a dare form his sister who was also a student.  he not only participated, he won first place.  After that performance, he realized at that point that comedy was for him.

After returning home from college, Ray Ray worked extremely hard honing his skills to perform during "Open Mic Night" at the Mobile Comedy Lounge.  He quickly became a local favorite and within one year, became master of ceremony for the lounge.  Also during this time he got the chance to work with comedians from J. Anthony Brow to Carrot Top.  He also met with fellow comedian Steve Harvey who was responsible for showing him the mechanics of comedy.

Over the years Ray Ray's comedy has grown and matured. reflecting the influences of Redd Foxx, Richard Pryor, Steve Harvey, Robin Williams and Damon Wayans.  In addition to being drug and alcohol free, he enjoys spending his time with troubled children.  This is one comedian whose comedy has no color.
