DEXTER T

Dexter T has made several appearances on national TV. He’s an ordain Deacon and has a continuous involvement in several different ministries at his church.  Dexter's career began when (at the persistent ushering of friends) he entered a comedy competition.  Though his first outing was something he would probably much rather forget, it did not deter him from chasing a dream.  Now, he is becoming a future star.

Dexter's philosophy is "that which does not kill you will only make you stronger."  This is evidenced by his willingness to try new things, whether it is hosting, acting, talent shows or conferences.  He attacks any task new and challenging with a sense of humor.

Born and raised in a small town in Alabama, Dexter learned first hand the value of hard work.  He believes that great heights can be achieved if you give your all and trust in God.  At a very early age, he realized that he was born to be in the "spotlight," though as a youth it was more of a "hot seat."  After having received more beatings than Rodney King, he has restricted his antics to the stage.

When asked what he hopes to gain from comedy, his reply is short and simple - "longevity and devoted friends...not fans."  He understands that there is no such thing as overnight success.  The road to stardom is filled with pot holes which can take you out in an instant.  However, if you chart your course and devise a plan, the road will be a little smoother.  His advise to other up and coming comedians is to be patient and be true to your craft.  In addition, always surround yourself with people whom you can learn from and who will laugh at your jokes.  Most of all, never give up.
